Universidad de Mallorca (UMAC) is a private university recognised by the Balearic law Ley 2/2026. The university sets admission to each programme through its own regulation. Where demand exceeds the places offered, a merit system is used in which the academic record (expediente académico) always takes priority. Admission requirements may not discriminate on grounds of nationality. The university must devote at least 5% of its annual income to grants and study aid. The sources do not yet say whether there is an entrance exam.
UMAC's IT programmes are still pending final authorisation, and the university may start operating only after authorisation by the Balearic government (Consejo de Gobierno). Check the programme's status before applying.
