University's own test
You apply online and then receive access to the Prospective Students Portal, where you track the application, admission and enrolment. You need your school grades (or the equivalent in another system), a letter of motivation and a passport. Next come the payment for the selection process, admission tests (pruebas de admisión) and an interview with a teacher, who assesses academic record, language skills and motivation. The decision is issued after the interview report is evaluated. Applicants to engineering and economics programmes can take a Mathematics test; non-Spanish speakers choosing a Spanish-taught or bilingual programme have a Spanish test. There is no fixed cut-off mark — the whole profile is assessed (as stated on the telecommunications programme page).
The amount of the selection-process fee is not stated in the records. Those who finished school outside Spain must first meet the official Spanish state requirements for university access, and only then take CEU's tests. For a Russian school leaver this means homologation of the attestat: the Russian certificate of secondary general education is recognised in Spain as the Título de Bachiller. Enrolment (matrícula) is not formalised until the university receives the university access document: international students upload it to the portal, pay the registration fee and sign the forms.
